An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Ramada by Wyndham Albany Hotel for a live on site Hotel Duty Manager of our Auckland’s north shore 65 apartment style hotel. 

We are part of the rapidly growing Marsden Hotels & Resorts www.marsdenhotels.co.nz.

The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work well under pressure. Well developed organizational and time management skills are essential.  Experience in a hotel front office reception position is essential.

Your day to day

As the Duty Manager, you will lead the daily operations of the hotel and work closely with the Front Office Manager and Hotel Manager for the effective running of the business and a small team.

*** This is a live on site role with relief management. A furnished apartment with all utilities and wifi included along with a carpark is provided

You will have great support from the Hotel & General Manager and other Marsden team members team including the operations support manager and the group revenue manager.

What we need from you as the Duty Manager

• Reservations and front office duties
• Guest services
• Liaising with house-keeping 
• A high level of motivation, initiative and enthusiasm
• Flexible with regards to work hours to fit around the daily operations and demands of a hotel’s operations.
• Strong Team Leadership Skills
• Proven Ability to Manage and Motivate Staff
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Sound Knowledge of Operating Procedures with strengths in Front Office
  Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Train and manage a small team
• Ability to manage complex relationships with guests, colleagues, and third parties.
• Understanding of current Health & Safety obligations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven professional approach
• Valid working rights for New Zealand and currently living in New Zealand
