An award-winning financial tech company are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to act as the technical lead for one of their development squads. Their new technology platform has won multiple awards and they are looking for someone to help keep it the market leading software in their industry. You will be responsible for scoping and defining requirements, developing new features and mentoring developers in your team. You will assist with technology decisions and help improve their products through new features and technology upgrades.

This role would suit a Senior Developer who is looking to take on more responsibility and act as a Technical Lead or someone who wants that pathway in the future. Ideally you will have Full Stack experience but as long as you are open to working with their React front end and Java back end, it will work. Role & Responsibilities:

• Scope and Define tickets for your squad
• Develop new features for their award-winning technology platform
• Mentor the developers within your team and upskill across best practices
• Experiment with new technologies making sure you keep up with market trends
• This role is a split of hands on coding and managing your development team – but you can also start as a Senior Developer and grow into this role

Required Skills:

• Act as the Senior Developer in an Agile environment
• Strong commercial experience with either Java or React and open to working across the full stack
• The role is more front end heavy so you will need solid JavaScript experience
• Ability to manage tasks and a small development team (3/4 people) – you can grow into this role though
• Strong communication skills and the passion to build a product and take ownership of your work
