What will you do?

In this role, you will learn all aspects of engineering at the primary Martin facility for power transmission components. A hands-on training program will prepare you for the opportunity to assist in the design, special projects, support, or other functions in the engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:

• 2D and 3D modeling utilizing CAD software

• Contributes to planning, developing, and coordinating engineering projects

• Provides specialized technical assistance to sales

• Production support

• Optimize ways to improve, manufacturing routings and instructions in the AX Dynamics system

• Finite Element Analysis

• Improves BOM accuracy

• Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that products meet engineering standards, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.

• Collaborates with management and staff across production departments and roles to implement engineering standards.

• Effective communication among production divisions and management.

• Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, Master’s degree preferred.

• Experience with 3D modeling in Inventor, Solid Edge or Solid Works preferred

• Two to three years of related experience with power transmission or material handling industry preferred.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a product design and manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on experience, previous project experience, and/or internship is preferred.

• Understanding of ANSI/ASME drafting standards is required

• Experience related to gear drives, sprockets screw conveyor, and motion control technologies preferred

• Experience and understanding of how to use an ERP system -AX Dynamics

• Solidworks PDM experience preferred

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and report writing skills.

• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Bi, and MS Teams applications.

• MATLAB experience
