What will you do?
In this role, you will learn all aspects of engineering at the primary Martin facility for power transmission components. A hands-on training program will prepare you for the opportunity to assist in the design, special projects, support, or other functions in the engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
2D and 3D modeling utilizing CAD software
Contributes to planning, developing, and coordinating engineering projects
Provides specialized technical assistance to sales
Production support
Optimize ways to improve, manufacturing routings and instructions in the AX Dynamics system
Finite Element Analysis
Improves BOM accuracy
Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that products meet engineering standards, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.
Collaborates with management and staff across production departments and roles to implement engineering standards.
Effective communication among production divisions and management.
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, Master’s degree preferred.
Experience with 3D modeling in Inventor, Solid Edge or Solid Works preferred
Two to three years of related experience with power transmission or material handling industry preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a product design and manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience, previous project experience, and/or internship is preferred.
Understanding of ANSI/ASME drafting standards is required
Experience related to gear drives, sprockets screw conveyor, and motion control technologies preferred
Experience and understanding of how to use an ERP system -AX Dynamics
Solidworks PDM experience preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Bi, and MS Teams applications.
MATLAB experience
