Job Description:

About The Role:

The Value Engineering (VE) Project Manager will own the VE projects to deliver product launches of existing products to improve product portfolio life cycle. The VE team will work collaboratively with other functional areas within the Operations group as well as other organizational teams on various re-sourcing, cost out, and feature revision projects while ensuring product integrity, reliability, and overall implementation success. Role:

What You Will Do:

• Oversee product design / drafting, testing, process validation, internal cross-functional team and supplier activities to ensure completion of projects as efficiently and optimally as possible to meet defined targets.

• Supervise progress and performance against the project plan of cost / value add, productivity, quality, and/or supply chain improvement projects.

• Review business cases and project opportunities; develop priority matrix and manage resources for optimal returns.

• Create detailed project timelines and achievements; identify and mitigate project risk. Drive resolution of conflicts between projects and functional organizations.

• Own the planning and implementation of multiple projects over a fiscal year and develop roadmap for subsequent years.

• Own metrics and reporting for VE projects including leading and trailing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

• Actively improve processes and documentation.

What We Look For In A Candidate:

• Engineering Degree from accredited institution (Mechanical or Electrical Engineer)

• 5+ years professional engineering project management experience

• Professional work experience in consumer-packaged goods, especially LED lighting product design ideal

• Experience in Design/Development, Operational realities and Global Manufacturing

• Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods preferred.

• Strong organizational and program management skills

• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and function in a collaborative work environment

• Hard-working and able to work with limited supervision

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Background in SolidWorks, Onshape, or equivalent CAD package preferred.

• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (

• Night/early morning calls required to collaborate with global team and suppliers

Salary Range:

Min Range: $79,100.00 USD Annual

Mid Range: $113,000.00 USD Annual

Max Range: $146,900.00 USD Annual
