We are seeking an organized Bookkeeper to administer our financial data, while also preparing and monitoring our accounts receivables. As a Bookkeeper, you will ensure that our business runs smoothly by helping out with daily bookkeeping tasks and handling more complex requests. Bookkeeper responsibilities include preparing invoices and monitoring payments, along with tax returns and financial statements. Since you will be using technology to expedite your work, a degree of computer knowledge is required. The goal is to contribute to the accurate preparation of bills receivable and safeguard the company’s income.

Responsibilities:

• Input and retrieve data from accounting system.
• Verify that accounting entries are included and posted in the proper general ledger account.
• Ensure internal controls and accountability of accounting documents.
• Prepare and post financial reports, like balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Prepare financial statements, like income statements and profit & loss statements.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Process journal entries in a timely manner and reconcile to the general ledger.
• Prepare additional financial reports, like debt service coverage ratio, working capital analysis etc.
• Manage payroll, (e.g. run payroll report queries.) prepare year-end W-2s/941/940 forms.
• Record job time for each employee in order to calculate wages due.
• Post all incoming payments to general ledger.
• Reconcile bank account records with transaction reports provided by accounting system.
• Submit required forms for government or other entities, (e.g. sales tax returns).
• Liaise with other departments to resolve discrepancies in the data input.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Part-time hours: 5 per week

Salary: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
