Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics.

We are a team of over 35 dietitians working with inpatients and outpatients. The hospital specialties include being the National Centre for Cardiothoracic Surgery and Heart and Lung Transplantation, National Centre for Spinal Injuries, National Centre for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (Adult Services), a major Cancer Centre with the National Centre for Hipec surgery and we have the largest Irish critical care service. We are developing as a National Trauma Centre. We use Nutrition Care Process assessment and diagnosis steps in our work. Active participation in clinical audit, team work and service quality initiatives are core components in all roles.

We have permanent Dietitian grade posts available. For those in the first 3 years of your career there is the opportunity to work and learn continually, including rotations where you work closely with seniors and clinical specialists in our specialised areas, to be ready to for our senior post opportunities at 3 years.

Senior Dietitian in Oncology/Haematology working in Day Unit/OPD and with the dietitian team working in cancer/GI.

Senior Dietitian in Diabetes working with insulin dependent diabetes, as part of integrated care service.
