Matomo – InnoCraft Looking for Finance Manager (100% Remote, B2B Saas) at Wellington Central, Wellington Full Time

The purpose of the Finance Manager is to deliver quality, timely and effective management of financial processing, reporting, planning and budgeting control of all Matomo’s financial requirements.

We are the creators of Matomo, the leading open-source web analytics solution that gives people full control of their data and built-in privacy.

This is a rare and new opportunity for a reliable and respected individual who delivers robust and rigorous financial tasks and responsibilities. You will work closely with the COO and CEO.

Your key areas of responsibilities are:

• Accounting Receivables
• Financial Reporting
• General Accounting Activities

Key Responsibilities

This role will require a financial all-rounder with a range of skills and experience in the following:

• Generating invoices and maintaining Saas subscriptions in the billing system
• Ensuring the timely collection of payments (and negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs)
• Keeping records of invoices and all correspondence with customers regarding payment collection
• Producing monthly and quarterly company financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
• Build and implement annual budget and forecasting
• Payrolls and holiday management
• Taxation duties including GST, PAYE, company tax implications
• Performing bank accounts reconciliations
• Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries
• Liaising with external auditors and tax agents
• Assisting in general financial management and analysis
• There is a scope to also implement Best Practice Principles and establish the processes and procedures required for a SaaS business.
• This role will offer a virtual CFO as a financial expert to mentor, consult and guide.

Qualifications and experience

It is desirable that the Finance Manager have:

• Chartered Accountant qualification or similar.
• A minimum of 3 – 4 years’ proven work experience in a Finance Manager role.
• Knowledge and experience of working with a modern accounting system such as Xero.

Location

• 100% Remote work position
• Must be based in New Zealand, Japan, Canada or immigrate to New Zealand (we can sponsor visa)
