Responsibilities:
Provides assistance to assigned consumers including, but not limited to the following:
Assistance with activities of daily living
Assisting with ambulation, as applicable
Assistance with nutritional and dietary needs
Essential household duties
Provide for safe and sanitary consumer environment
Utilize basic infection control technique and procedures
Provide medication reminders as directed by the Service Authorization and/or Care Plan
Maintain consumer confidentiality
Encourage consumer control of and promote the independent living philosophy
Requirements:
Proficiency in the English language is required
Successful completion of the Direct Care Worker Competency orientation process required
Current CPR Card required
Current Health Screening (in accordance with state regulations) required
Successful completion of PASA competency evaluation which meets the requirements of the state is required
