Maxim Healthcare Staffing Hiring for CT Tech – $58+ / hr at Phoenix, Arizona Full Time

MaximHealthcare Staffing is seeking a CT Tech to produce computerized tomographic scanned radiographs of specific areasas required. Performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization. Obtainspatient history, explains standardprocedures, and addresses patient concerns. Also perform avariety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scannersand related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.

• Positions patients for CT scansusing immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.

• Appropriatelysets the controlsof the relate equipment; monitorsequipment and patient; makes adjustments as necessary

• Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IV’s, andinjecting contrast, if applicable.

• May dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.

• Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.

• Evaluate CT scansfor technical quality,collate processed imagesin sequence of exposure and appropriately label.

• May be responsible for scheduling patientsfor procedures and assisting with some clericalfunctions.

• Charges procedures and supplies used to the patient record

• Load and operatepower injections for contrast mediaadministration.

• Maintain accurate patientrecords for all procedures performed; maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA standards.

• Adheres to all Company and worksite rules,policies and procedures

• May perform otherduties as requiredor deemed necessary by the Company and/orthe client/supervisor.

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diplomaor equivalent

• Completion of a 24-month AMA approved Schoolof Radiologic Technology programpreferred.

• One (1) year of experience as a CAT Tech preferred.

• Appropriate valid statelicensure.

• A.R.R.T.(American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications.

• Must be accurate, attentive to detailand able to follow directions.

• Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

• Must have good interpersonal and communication skillsand be able to work calmly and accurately.

• Successful completion of Company testing process

• Current physical exam,if required by state regulations or contract specifications.

• Current TBtest or chest x-ray.

• Current BLS as required by state regulation or contract specificrequirements.
