Job Description

The Sales Coordinator will support the sales team with the creation, management, and maintenance of sustainable merchandising revenue growth at key retail accounts, in all distribution channels. Duties include managing assigned accounts and developing marketing programs to increase revenue and profits. The Sales Coordinator will support the management of our sales reps, distributor partners, and direct-to-retail accounts. The Sales Coordinator will assist in implementing toy and consumer products programs, promotions, sell-in, and activate vital retail strategies that align with our strategic marketing, sales, and brand portfolio initiatives. The Sales Coordinator will help facilitate the onboarding, vendorization, and maintenance of retailers, developing pricelists and models, and forecasting.

Job Duties

• Work with outside sales rep groups, distributor partners, and retail buyers (B&M and Online).
• Help with business plan preparations, forecasts, and analysis.
• Facilitation of the vendorization process for new retailer partners, including coordination with the Hong Kong Finance teams for credit approvals.
• Retail partner development, including retailer research, cold calling, and setting up appointments.
• Manage day-to-day relationships, including the handling of inquiries, requests, and complaints.
• Assist the Sales and Demand Planning Teams with forecasting & forecast analysis.
• Generate sales analysis and reporting from sales data received from retailers and/or reps and provide improvements and suggestions to increase business.
• Collaborate on developing retail strategies working closely with the retail licensing category development teams, licensors, marketing, and promotional partners to ensure all activity aligns with the brand strategy and guidelines.
• Develop clear and compelling written proposals for current and prospective customers, including carry-over and refresh proposals for ongoing programs.
• Complete retailer required documentation; Item Submission Documents, Product Set-Up Documents, Online Product Set-Up Documents, and more as needed.
• Attend and represent the company at key trade shows, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments.
• Manage product sample inventory in coordination with the overseas teams.
• Arrange shipments of samples to our sales reps, distribution partners, retailer submissions, and marketing agency partners.
• Research latest licensed consumer products, trends, and insights across platforms (in-store, social media, blog, print/digital materials), including pricing effectiveness and recurring trends; create actionable item lists based on findings.
• Research competitors’ distribution channels and products and continuously compile information about competitive new launches, advertising, and formulas.
• Brainstorm with the marketing, account, and creative teams to develop product and marketing campaigns.
• Coordinate confirmed orders with HK Finance and HK account teams, including reviewing PO and details, Internal Budget, and Invoices.
• Follow-up payments from retailers.
• Coordination of logistics updates with sales rep groups, distributor partners, and retail buyers
• Promote the mission and values of the organization both internally and externally and oversee the adherence to values and mission.
• Assess operational issues concerning competitiveness.
• Maximize relationships with key retail and wholesale partners.
• Create meeting recaps and wrap-up documents.
• Provide administrative support on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a background in math, computing, economics, or finance.
• Previous sales, marketing, retail, or e-commerce experience preferred.
• Must have an intense passion for toys, comics, anime, and pop culture.
• Interest in sales, marketing promotions, entertainment licensing, and consumer products.
• Candidates should work well in a team setting.
• Must be highly detail-oriented and organized.
• Flexible with the ability to work under pressure and multi-task to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A self-starter with high energy and a strong work ethic, able to move projects forward.
• Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Internet research savvy and advanced analytical skills required.
