The project
is a component of the Warkworth

to Snells Transfer Pipeline scheme, which conveys wastewater from Warkworth
to Snells Beach.

This includes the construction of a new 247 l/s Wastewater Pump Station located adjacent to the existing Lilburn Street Pump Station in Lucy Moore Memorial Park. The pump station is designed to be a wet well / dry well facility and includes:

• an above-ground structure approximately 4.4 m high, 9.2 m long and 4 m wide
• belowground structures including inlet chamber, gantry crane, drywell, wet well and emergency storage to a depth of approximately 12 m.
• an overflow pipe from the pump station to the existing stormwater pond
• ancillary above-ground structures, including odour control (biofilter), standby generator, transformer, flowmeter chamber and welfare facilities; and
• an access road and car park.

About the role

The site Engineer is responsible for ensuring the effective coordination and control of engineering works through the activities of technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality control.

• Ensure project deliverables meet with CEP(s) (Construction Execution Procedures), JSEA(s) (Job Safety and Environmental Assessment), and ITP(s) (Integrated Test Plan)
• Management of project team, subcontractors and local labour crew
• Adherence to company safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures
• Ensure all plant is maintained regarding the suitability, safety, operating condition and cost-effectiveness
• Build trusted relationships with suppliers, Government, and Commercial partners
• Prepare and supply monthly, weekly and one-off reporting

Here’s what you’ll need:

• A tertiary civil engineering qualification
• A minimum of 3+ years of civil engineering within the construction industry
• A demonstrated a strong commitment to safety
• Ability to work and comfortable residing in remote locations
• Competent in negotiation and relationship building accompanied by a good understanding of contract management and cost control
• Flexibility and resilience in dealing with complex issues
