Mechanical technician Full Time

Fixify Services, we are locally owned – operated in Karratha. We are especially work on Forklifts and high/low vehicles and Airport’s GSE. We service, repair forklifts and vehicles, now hire the forklifts.

Candidates will be required to:

• test and repair diesel, petrol and gas engines and the mechanical parts of forklifts and vehicles along with transmissions, suspensions, steering and brakes and ground support equipment of Airport.
• diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
• dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check parts.
• repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, and refer to service manuals as needed
• select required tools and equipment required to repair and replace defective mechanical components as per the service manual
• perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-up for forklifts, mechanical components and hydraulic parts
• testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
• diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers and preparing diagrams in line with service manual to diagnose and repair mechanical components
• Check, repair and replace the hydraulic parts of forklifts.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Relevant trade certificate or at least 3 years full time relevant employment experience as a mechanical technician
• Experience with diagnosing, testing and repairing various types of mechanical components such as hydraulic parts, mechanical components and forklifts.
• Experience and working knowledge of electrical and mechanical components and tools.
• Interpreting diagrams and drawings mechanical drawings. 
• Understanding data and analysis to diagnose faults and testing
• Understanding various types of mechanical and electrical components and sound knowledge of interpreting service manuals.
• Good communication and time management.
• Good team collaboration and customer service skills
• Selecting tools and equipment, and keeping a safe and maintained workshop
