Medasource Hiring for Patient Access Specialist at Remote Full Time

Position: Patient Access Specialist

Location: 100% Remote (Orlando, FL)

Duration: 3+ month contract

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description: In partnership with Medasource, the largest health system in Florida is looking to engage patient access specialists, specializing in insurance verification, authorizations and scheduling, to handle an influx of accounts that need to be reconciled prior to upcoming software activations. This opportunity is fully remote.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of Customer Service experience
• 1-2 years of healthcare or health insurance experience
• Strong communication and verbal communication
• Proficient with computer devices and different software such as Microsoft Office products and Registration/Scheduling software
• Experience with EMR software (Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth, Allscripts, etc.) is required, Epic experience is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile accounts by means of verifying insurance and obtaining authorizations
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Maintain telephonic service excellence to end users
• Maintain a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
