JOB DESCRIPTION: Available now, 40/hrs. weekly, Typist/Transcriptionist/Office Assistant to work in small, busy medical Office in Laurel, MD. As a team member, we’re looking for honest, mature, self-sufficient, conscientious, organized, pleasant, productive individual with professional demeanor/appearance, having high-level proficiency in English communication, grammar, writing skills. Performs duties as assigned, quickly and efficiently, including accurate transcription (60 typed words/minute) of Dr.’s dictations, proofreading, billing, and electronically transmitting documents. Communicates (face-to-face, phone, fax, email) with professionals in and out of office, e.g., patients, medical, legal, insurance. Efficiently files information electronically and manually. Has strong, relevant work history and preferably 4-year degree in English. Willing to submit to background check, timed English transcription/typing/proofreading test, data entry and drug tests, in accordance with law/regulations. Pay is $19-$20/hr., depending on qualifications, with paid AL, SL, major holidays, and insurance plan.
