As a DevOps Engineer you’re primarily responsible for the Megaport systems. Ensuring that they meet best practices including automation, availability and security. You are able to create tools in software and diagnose unexpected issues. You’re a key enabler of the Megaport engineering teams and ultimately obsessed with ensuring that customer goals are met.

What you will be doing
- Automate the build, continuous integration and deployment of applications with tools such as Docker and GitLab.
- Developing tools in Python & Go that provide enhanced cloud capabilities.
- Assist the team in resolving day to day tasks such as configuration, tuning, responding to alerts, etc.
- Supporting the development environment through various test, QA, and staging systems, and on to production.
- Deep diving on challenging issues and system behaviours. Ensuring successful remediation to high standards and satisfaction of the affected teams.
- Play a crucial role in ongoing releases and associated process including QA enablement.
- Experimenting with new technologies and being a stakeholder in the system development roadmap’.
We are looking for an engineer with
- Infrastructure and systems administration experience
- Software development, Python or Go preferred or similar
- CI platforms & Revision control systems
- A focus on automation and “infrastructure as code”
- An agile mindset with the ability to work in a collaborative manner
- Ability to design highly available and secure Linux based systems
- Experience with AWS, Docker & Kubernetes
- Configuration management tools like Terraform or Ansible
- Relational and non-relational databases
