Our cafe and catering business have now been operating for over 10 years, and has experienced sizeable growth over the past few years.
Our catering business is found under the banner of MELBACATERING.NZ
We are considered as one of the busiest cafes in Auckland CBD, and our focus is to continue to grow our corporate clientele.
We are open only from Monday – Friday, and our operating hours are 7am – 4pm. Therefore providing great flexibility and a balanced lifestyle for our team members.
We are also closed during the Christmas/New Year holiday period, as well as all public holidays.
Role Description:
Role Requirements:
Previous experience in a role that focused in creating sandwiches will be advantageous for candidates. We are also interested in new chefs that want to try something different.
A background in catering will also be advantageous to the individual.
To be a successful candidate you will need to present the following qualities
– Work efficiently and calmly under pressure
– Give and receive courteous and knowledgeable direction
– Professional and career orientated work ethic
– Work well in the cafe team as well as unsupervised
– Be enthusiastic about customer service and delivering excellent quality
– Maintain positive working relationship with BOH & Dining Room leaders and line staff throughout service periods
– Have excellent technical skills
Knowledge of the cafe culture and New Zealand cafe cuisine is essential as well as the ability to communicate well both written and oral.
