Assistant Property Manager — residential

Assistant Property Manager (with room for promotion) for 240-unit apartment complex in St. Peters, Missouri.

We are seeking an EXPERIENCED (minimum 3-6 years) Assistant Property to become a part of our team, and to work and train for the Property Manager position! You will assist in all leasing and management activities and transactions, screen prospective tenants wisely, and coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor. Additionally this individual will research products and procure them as well as schedule outside vendors. Looking for someone experience with property management software, WORD, Excel, basic computer skills, move-in and move-out procedures as well as planning ahead.

If you have Assistant Property Manager experience and the potential and desire to become a Property Manager, you are the ideal candidate. You could be the Property Manager trainee with a great future ahead of you.

Responsibilities and training for these tasks:

• Screen prospective tenants
• Oversee and coordinate all leasing and tenant transactions
• Attract and educate new tenants
• Inspect units for move-ins, move-outs and renewals
• Review tenant files for renewals
• Investigate and resolve tenant complaints in a calm manner
• Maintain properties to increase return on investment
• Ensure all work order and repair requests are processed in a timely fashion
• Coordinate with property staff
• Enforce property and company rules and regulations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in residential property management — MINIMUM 3 years
• Familiarity with residential real estate leases
• Ability to build rapport with tenants
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and see tasks through to completion

Similar experience required: screening tenants; coordinating with maintenance staff; assessing maintenance procedures; processing tenant payments and vendor bills into property management software; following up on maintenance requests and payment delinquencies; maintaining established safety, office and corporate procedures; communicating with the corporate office regarding events or situations that may arise.

Expertise at filing and organizing files is expected.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
