Members Club Hiring for Front Desk/Reservations Job at New York, NY Full Time

The front desk position assumes full control of the front desk operations and associated spaces. The front desk works as the overall coordinator at the hub of the Club. They are the combination of a gracious host/hostess, the communication coordinator, the gatekeeper, a concierge and at times a Jack or Jane of all trades. Previous club experience is a plus!

Major Tasks / Primary Responsibilities

• Hospitality

• Welcomes and assists arriving members and guests
• Assists members and guests in a concierge role
• Assists and directs staff, to insure service standards are maintained: this includes the door person, lounge servers and coat check.

• Communications

• Carefully communicates with the incoming and/or outgoing staff to ensure a smooth work shift transitions.
• Aware of Club Activities, Daily and Upcoming Events
• Telephone

• Promptly answers all incoming/in-house calls using proper etiquettes

• Promptly delivers all messages/packages/ etc.
• Maintains Communication Logs
• Promptly reports any concerns of guests, members and staff

• Reservations

• Accepts, Records and Confirms Club Dining Reservations
• Assists with Private Dining and Overnight reservations by communicating with the appropriate manager
• Prepares Daily Reservation Sheet for Club Dining

• Guestrooms

• Greets and accommodates arriving and departing guests.
• Communicates and delivers on all special needs/requests/arrangements for overnight guests.

• Technology

• Properly uses Club technology according to established procedures.
• Embraces, learns and implements new technology.
• Assists with posting receipts and credit card payments from Dining and Guestrooms

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
