This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to serve as a key leader on the US heart failure marketing team. In this role, the candidate will lead the consumer agile team as a strategic marketer and as a product owner on one of the first US Merck brands to fully incorporate agile principles. The individual in this role will lead consumer marketing strategy, modifying positioning, targeting, messaging as needed, refreshing the current campaign and leading video strategy, among other key initiatives. The individual will also serve as the product owner, leading the customer agile team to develop and then execute strategies to meet brand objectives. The consumer agile team consists of consumer marketers and the development team including campaign designers, developers, and architects.
This position will report to the Heart Failure US Commercial Leader.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead consumer agile team to develop successful marketing strategies and omnichannel campaigns aligned to prioritized opportunities and objectives
Modify segmentation, targeting, positioning, and messaging as needed
Lead a refresh of current, award-winning campaign
Develop and evaluate omnichannel campaigns, with a strong emphasis in social and digital media
Lead and motivate the 9 members of the consumer agile team to drive results
Drive understanding of customer needs and journey mapping to create a desired customer experience in all channels
Understand customer insights, competitive strategy, and data measurement to optimize strategy
Implementation of adherence strategy including patient support service
Use a test & learn approach, and interpret data to optimize strategy and execution
Identify strategic brand opportunities, objectives, priorities, and KPIs as member of the heart failure prioritization and allocation team
Education Minimum Requirements:
Required: BA/BS
Preferred: MBA or equivalent

5+ years of experience in relevant marketing or marketing-support functions

Proven ability to lead across diverse stakeholders

Demonstrated proficiency in consumer marketing strategy

Strong collaboration skills
Strong project management skills
