Scope Summary:
Manufacturing execution is a core enabler of our digital manufacturing strategy within our new Digital our Manufacturing Division organization which creates and realizes business value leveraging digital technologies. This role, within the Manufacturing Value Team, will lead the Process Execution Product that is responsible for technologies that guide the manufacturing execution including MES, shopfloor equipment logs, and digital SOP’s. This role will function globally across our Company’s Human Health manufacturing network in all modalities including biologics, vaccines, and pharmaceuticals. It will collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that help everyone to be more productive and enable innovation. Finally, this role will work at multiple organizational levels, from a very tactical & technical level to a senior strategic level.
Responsibilities:
This role will lead the Process Execution Product Team and collaborate closely across Digital our Manufacturing Division and our Company’s global IT organization to ensure a resilient, value driven process execution platform.
Develop and maintain a multi-year, multi-site technology strategic roadmap for MES and shopfloor logging to progress to a digital shopfloor including electronic batch records with review by exception, weigh and dispense, and other manufacturing process functions.
End to end Management of Process Execution technology stack with Product team in a DevOps approach
Directly manage Process Execution Product Team including performance and career management.
Closely collaborate with Digital Manufacturing Operations and site teams, Application Management Services, Digital Data Quality and foundation IT/OT platform groups.
Define, deliver lifecycle management planning
Oversee and guide future architectures including incorporation of cloud technologies
Vendor management for Koerber/Werum to incorporate commercial and technical / product development aspects
Maintain and develop a network of System Integration partners
Develop standard processes for ongoing MBR maintenance / change processes in line with a Dev Ops model
Collaborate with other products to enable fit for purpose data integration strategies including process control, production optimization for OEE and plant scheduling.
Drive implementation standards and delivery roadmap.
Lead Process Execution process standardization, simplification and central MBR development center
Lead and oversee standardized solution delivery. project and lifecycle management costs.
Develop and manage a global network of MES super users
Work closely with SAP team in advancing the managing and advancing the MES – SAP integration.
Partner with Digital Manufacturing Operations to drive consistent value realization processes, outcomes and metrics
Facilitate MES SME networks across the company
Manage annual maintenance and lifecycle budgets > $2M per year.

Qualifications:
Position may be remote within US or European time zones.
10+ years of MES working experience in manufacturing life sciences.
Strong understanding how ISA standards S95 apply to life science manufacturing
Strong understanding of operational technologies in life science manufacturing specifically the business use cases and value drivers for process execution solutions.
Technical depth with Werum PAS-X
Previous working experience managing people.
