Mercy Hospice is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead our Finance Team. The purpose of this role is to provide skilled financial support to the organisation. This will include assistance for all financial policy, strategy and financial operations, including the preparation of financial records, budgets, reporting, auditing and accounting.

This role will also provide assistance for the finance function for other entities within the Whānau Mercy Group.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role

• Financial reporting.
• Financial analysis.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Cashflow management.
• External reporting.
• Maintain systems and processes to achieve operational efficiency.

Ngā pūkenga e hiahiatia / Skills you’ll bring to the role:

• 5-10 years + experience in Accounts preparation to Balance sheet level.
• Chartered Accountant.
• Financial analytical skills.
• Preparation of annual budgeting.
• Advanced level of Excel, Word skills also preferred.
• Knowledge of Xero is preferred.
• A passion for accuracy and ability to complete all tasks to a high standard.
• This is a high integrity and trust role, with the highest standards around confidentiality, ethics and adherence to financial controls.
