Legal Assistant – Social Care & Education

We provide a wide range of legal services to the London Boroughs of Merton, Richmond, Sutton, Wandsworth and Royal Borough of Kingston, making us the largest local authority shared legal service in the country. As such, we are able to offer employment opportunities across all aspects of local government legal work. We take pride in offering a high quality and proactive legal service, bringing all the insight that being an in house service involves and combining that with commercial expertise and a breadth of experience smaller teams may not be able to offer.

We are based in South West London and in normal times, our team can work out of any of 5 locations as well as remotely. We have a wide range of flexible working options and have developed a number of health and well-being initiatives over the years.

We want to recruit a Legal Assistant within our Social Care and Education team. You will primarily be providing legal assistance to a team of childcare lawyers on a variety of matters, but you will also have the opportunity to manage a small private family law caseload of your own. We are looking for a candidate who is able to work flexibly and collaboratively within a high-pressure environment. In return, you will be supported to develop your skills in a nurturing environment.
