Commerce Operations is a rapidly growing team within our Global Operations function. Its mission is to build and deliver operations to provide the integrity, experience, and support for Commerce users across the Facebook Family of Apps, ensuring Sellers achieve success and Buyers can transact seamlessly through trusted connections.To give people the power to build community on our platforms, we need to make sure they have the best and most secure experiences possible. People on the Analytics and Business Reporting team empower Meta’s Commerce Operations organization to be self-sufficient in tactical decision-making and drive operations strategy through objective analysis. We are responsible for providing accurate, reliable and accessible business metrics as well as contextualizing them in operational performance with research and advanced analysis. We are looking for an Analyst to join our Analytics and Business Reporting team for Data Infrastructure needs. The right candidate will be comfortable in a fast-moving organization, excited to collaborate and focused on positively impacting the experience of a large scale global workforce and the entire Meta community. They possess strong data management and manipulation skills, data pipeline and visualization skills, and the ability to build strong partnerships to drive impact across the organization.

Required Skills:

Analyst, Analytics and Business Reporting, Data Infra Responsibilities:

1. Build/maintain data infrastructure (data pipelines, aggregated data sets, reports, dashboards) to monitor the performance of our operations and drive business understanding

2. Apply quantitative skills and incorporate qualitative insights to inform and influence strategy for Global Operations

3. Partner with Operations, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities

4. Analyze data, conduct research and synthesize feedback into plans, processes and playbooks

5. Drive demand forecasting, scenario planning, and prioritization to optimize the community and business impact of our operational expenditures

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Infrastructure/Operations Design, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

2. 4+ years experience in querying and manipulating complex raw datasets (ETL) for analysis using SQL or python or any scripting language

3. 4+ years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)

4. Professional experience with reporting systems, data pipeline architecture and data modeling

5. Experience in fostering new cross-functional working partnerships with business, engineering, and product teams, advocating for new technology & analytics solutions to influence cross-functional roadmaps

6. Experience explaining technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to varied audiences and experience translating business objectives into actionable analyses

1. Advanced degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Math, Statistics)

2. Experience thinking strategically, structurally solving product problems, and driving execution

3. Experience with distributed computing (Hive/Hadoop)

4. Experience developing data pipelines via SQL and Python-based ETL framework

5. Experience releasing code into production

6. Experience writing testable code
