Summary:
There are now more than 2.5 billion gamers across the world, and Facebook Gaming’s mission is to build the world’s gaming community for all of them. We are looking for a product marketer who is knowledgeable and passionate about entertainment experiences, particularly in gaming (game play, gaming video, gaming communities). The ideal candidate understands the online entertainment space, including consumer needs, social entertainment experiences, competitive landscape and market dynamics, and — most important — how to positively impact consumer sentiment and drive new behavior through robust customer insights gathering, launch/go-to-market plans, and in-product marketing campaigns and programs. You must have experience effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results and developing and executing against global launch plans that bring relevant products to market.
Required Skills:
Develop core product positioning and messaging for key gaming products and features, considering value proposition, target audience, competitive landscape, and other factors.
Define and manage consumer go-to-market strategy and plans for product/feature launches, collaborating closely with Product, Partnerships, Partner Marketing, PR, Legal, Policy, and other cross-functional teams to drive successful product launches for consumers globally.
Influence and contribute to product strategy with focus on consumers by drawing on quantitative/qualitative research insights and developing a strong understanding of the broader company ecosystem and competitive landscape.
Execute yearly marketing strategy and plan to achieve consumer product goals, with emphasis on driving consumer awareness, usage, and retention.
Establish clear KPIs for marketing initiatives and own relationship with analytics to ensure impactful testing agenda and measurement plan in place. Be accountable for reviewing results of initiatives to ensure continued improvement over time.
Plan and lead successful in-product marketing campaigns to efficiently drive product awareness and adoption, including creative asset development and media planning.
Gain buy-in for proposed strategies through well articulated communications.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years experience in a fast-paced corporate or startup environment.
3+ years experience working in a Consumer Product Marketing and or Consumer Marketing capacity (partnered with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements and with relevant cross-functional partners to drive product launch strategy and ongoing lifecycle/engagement marketing).
Experience developing consumer insights through data trends and/or research to identify new opportunities and tests with the goal to apply learnings to scale.
Proven experience developing breakthrough consumer-centric marketing strategies and translate those strategies into actionable plans.
Experience constructing strategy and creative briefs, providing feedback and delivering engaging creative with stories.
