Scaled Operations (within Global Operations) manages the human expertise required for the integrity and experience of our community and business. If you like helping people, Global Operations is for you.The Scaled Operations Risk & Compliance team is seeking an experienced people manager to handle complex, global initiatives aligned with and driven out of the Scaled Operations organization, and help build out best-in-class risk, compliance and audit capabilities. The right candidate will enjoy and thrive in working in a fast-paced environment but be able to effectively build structure and inculcate the same culture to their team of experienced program managers.
Required Skills:
Lead a team of Program managers responsible for driving critical risk, compliance and audit initiatives for Scaled Ops and Global Ops
Frame and scope the problem statement, build requirements, enable resourcing, work with cross-functional stakeholders (including leadership), identify dependencies, reduce risks and drive the initiative progress on a weekly basis
Drive communications strategy for the initiatives, qualitative and quantitative analysis of the program performance and track/ensure program and industry impact
Explore new strategic opportunities, in the course of program management to inform the future roadmap, for leadership consideration
Support a team to develop and manage end-to-end programs and ensure outcomes and successful delivery
Provide thought leadership and drive structure for the broader risk and compliance function, as well as for the team Lead Global Operations (GO) wide Business Continuity Planning to help GO’s critical functions maintain their operations during a crisis
Bring entrepreneurial mindset to identify risk and compliance oriented strategic initiatives and programs that would set the team as a dependable brand within Global Operations Internally assess, evaluate and make recommendations to management regarding the adequacy of the security and compliance controls for SO and GO third party vendors
Ensure the GRC program is always in alignment with Meta’s current strategic goals and initiatives
Maintain an in-depth understanding of the broad regulatory landscape impacting Meta and GRC domains
Remain current with emerging regulatory sentiments as well as understand the impact of laws and regulations on Meta
Recommend and implement changes in standards and/or procedures as needed to drive greater alignment with the GRC strategy and continuous risk management practice maturity
Lead the proactive strategy for regulatory compliance and mature the existing compliance capability by establishing a unified demand pipeline and actionable roadmap with existing and emerging regulations impacting Scaled Operations Design and deliver cross-functional projects to bridge gaps and prepare for upcoming regulatory obligations
Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to translate legal and privacy regulatory requirements to teams within Scaled Operations Develop and maintain a baseline of controls for Scaled Operations aligned to industry-leading frameworks and regulations
May require at least 10% international travel
Minimum Qualifications:
12+ years of risk, compliance & audit experience in consulting, strategy, or equivalent program management experience within Facebook or in technology and non-technology company
Knowledge of emerging regulations in the online content space
Impeccable business judgment, along with a natural inclination to formulate hypotheses, design tests, and use problem-solving techniques to evaluate solutions
Leadership skills in influencing and managing change
Experience leveraging knowledge and skills across multiple ongoing programs and stakeholders to drive change, motivate teams and deliver or support to deliver initiatives
Strength in cross-functional collaboration with demonstrated expertise in driving complex highly ambiguous programs with multiple stakeholders
Experience facilitating brainstorming sessions to gather requirements
Proven content creation and presentation skills – experience building and delivering executive leadership content
Knowledge in a role to support and enable cross-functional stakeholders/teams within and beyond Scaled Operations
Experience quickly understanding the background, frame the problem and go on ‘enablement’ mode to drive to a solution
Solid communications skills
Demonstrated track record in successfully managing ambitious, strategic, and operationally complex projects with internal and external (to SO) cross-functional teams
6+ years demonstrated track record in managing high functioning team, coaching developing and elevating team skillset
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master’s degree in a management, technical, or engineering field
Management consulting work experience in risk, compliance and privacy area preferred
Experience in operational excellence and process improvement methodologies
Experience in Policy/Operations/Program management leadership CISSP, CISM, CISA or CRISC preferred
