SHEET METAL FABRICATORMetals USA – Gregor Technologies Division is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator in Torrington, CT. Metals USA is a solid, growth oriented aluminum/stainless steel distribution center servicing the defense, aerospace and fabrication industries.Responsibilities:

• Fabricates and assemble machine parts by setting up, operating and monitoring equipment used for sheet metal support.

• Sets up metal fabricating support equipment such as Pemsert, DA grinders and Timesaver as needed.

• Applies knowledge of assembly to perform sheet metal fabrication.

• Completes and documents production and quality paperwork, follows shop system data collection procedures and follows inspection procedures on a daily basis.

• Deburrs, sands and polishes finished materials.

• Performs scheduled maintenance and inspection on equipment per mechanical specifications.

Requirements:

• Must have mechanical aptitude and good math skills
• Two-year technical degree and/or apprenticeship
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, documents and blueprints.
• Ability to read measuring instruments such as measuring tapes, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and gauges
• Valid OSHA Forklift certification a plus
