Your Job Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; All new hires should have BSN or commitment to obtain BSN within 24 months of hire date.
Current Registered Nurse License to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS certification must be submitted to Human Resources before attending New Employee Orientation
Full-time & Part-time positions require at least 6 months RN experience in an Acute Care Hospital Setting
PRN positions require at least 12 months RN experience in an Acute Care Hospital Setting
Resource Team – all positions require 24 months RN experience in an Acute Care Setting
Med/Surg Resource Team requires experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry area
Critical Care Resource Team requires experience in ICU and Emergency Services
Women’s Services Resource Team requires experience in at least 2 of the Women’s Services areas (Labor & Delivery, NICU, Nursery, or Family Center Care
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS PER NURSING UNIT:
Med/Surg, Surgical Acute, Cardiac Telemetry, Medical Telemetry Neuro Units, and Med Surg Resource Team
Critical Care Units; ICU, IMC, CVICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and PCIU
Emergency Services Department and Critical Care Resource Team
Current American Heart Association ACLS certification must be submitted to Human Resources before attending New Employee Orientation.
Current PALS or ENPC certification. If not currently PALS or ENPC certified you may be allowed to sign a commitment to obtain and submit to Human Resources during first 90 days of employment.
Surgical Services; Operating Room, GI Lab, Recovery Room, Med Day, Pre-Admission Testing
Current American Heart Association ACLS certification must be submitted to Human Resources before attending New Employee Orientation.
Current PALS certification. If not currently PALS certified you may be allowed to sign a commitment to obtain and submit to Human Resources during first 90 days of employment.
Women’s Services; Labor & Delivery, Nursery, NICU and Family Center Care (FCC)
Labor & Delivery Units require American Heart Association ACLS certification to be submitted to Human Resources before attending New Employee Orientation.
NICU, Nursery, and Family Center Care require current NRP certification. If not currently NRP certified you may be allowed to sign a commitment to obtain and submit to Human Resources during first 90 days of employment.
