About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the support of the OCS systems through the specification, development, and installation of software improvements to the OCS systems.
You directly report to the Software Support Lead and indirectly reports to the Technical Lead and Software Delivery Lead within the Digital Delivery team of OCMS.
You will contribute to the design, development, documentation and testing of new software systems as required and will be periodically rotated between support and active development projects.
Responsibilities
- Form part of a technical team responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of existing systems along with the production of new systems.
- Expected to liaise with professional and technical staff regarding setting up appropriate hardware, software and operating system environments, carry out integration tasks, perform data configuration, as well as complex problem resolution
- Conduct a variety of tasks across the Software Development Lifecycle with real time and business systems.
- Complete development using C++, Java, JavaScript and associated technologies in a Linux Environment;
- Required to carry out complex software implementation tasks, as well as extended periods of technical validation activities
- Will help in designing and developing new user-interfaces as well as maintaining and uplifting exiting UIs using JavaScript, CSS, HTML and associated front-end technologies.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 10+ years in conducting a variety of tasks across the SDLC
- Strong experience in web application development including client-side JavaScript and server-side API’s
- Expertise in Angular, and Angular JS and Node JS
