Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Four years of advanced clerical experience to include one year in a personnel or employee benefits program environment are required. Completion of college coursework may substitute for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis.
Recruitment Notes
The Benefit Representative performs a variety of administrative duties while coordinating the County’s Group Health Insurance plans. The representatives also maintain and support close contact with Department Representatives in order to support proper enrollment and eligibility of employees. This position may lend itself to Miami-Dade’s Telecommuting Policy, which includes flexible work schedules and remote home working in those areas where such a policy is viable and meets the goals and objectives of the operations.
