About The Opportunity

Our Technology team, based at Micromine HQ in the Perth CBD, are currently seeking a Mining Engineer to join their team. In this role you will help shape the future direction of mining software, through a combination of your mining expertise, customer feedback, and market requirements.

Reporting directly to the Technical Product Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the voice of our customers on the Micromine Development team.
• Working with the Product Strategy Manager to translate strategies into technical roadmaps and development schedules.
• Identifying improvement opportunities, developing solutions, and defining new features, functionality, and release criteria.
• Providing developers with a list of requirements, answering questions, and monitoring product backlog progress.
• Collaborating with interface designers to balance user requirements with design.

About You

You will have proven mining engineering experience within operational environments, including exposure to mine planning, design, and drill & blast activities.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Ideally exposure to both both underground and surface mining.
• Proficiency with mining software in the areas of mine design, scheduling, optimisation, and production.
