As a Cloud Solution Architect – Healthcare, you will be the driving force behind our partners’ digital transformation journey. As a Subject Matter expert in both Azure Infrastructure Technology and Customized Healthcare Software solutions, you will help Microsoft partners evaluate their cloud strategy, determine approaches to application and data migration, modernization, recommending solutions that meet healthcare customer requirements.

Role location is flexible, including hybrid work-from-home, and may require up to 15% domestic and international business travel.

Responsibilities

Partner Enablement and Execution

• Enablement Execution: Lead and/or contribute to the delivery of workshops, bootcamps, and trainings necessary to build partners technical skills

• Technical Engagement: Lead deep technical engagements, including; Briefings, Proof of Concepts, Architectural Design Sessions, and Hackathons

• Best Practice Sharing: Collaborate with Microsofts Engineering teams to generate technical insight and enable best practices sharing

• Solution Development: Aid partners to develop and implement high quality solutions and/or services leveraging Microsofts latest technologies

• Evangelism: Evangelize partners practices and solutions in customers implementations via Technical briefings and Architecture Review Sessions

• Tech Sales: Enable partners on technical pre-sales skills while supporting initial partners wins and work to unblock technical issues.

• You will help partners make technical decisions to migrate customer workloads to Azure and build tomorrows business and IT solutions based on Microsoft and 3rd party technology.

• You will collaborate with a virtual team of experts and influence the Microsoft Azure go-to-market strategies by providing feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering on current and future product requirements and market blockers.

• You will work with our partner and engineering ensuring that the product truth is grounded in technical excellence, continuously identifying opportunities to help meet/exceed the scale, performance, security, reliability, and operational efficiency goals for our customers.

• Contribute to virtual teams of partner, engineering and field resources to build new Azure healthcare partner practices and solutions.

• Develop and maintain your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure technologies.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 7+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting

o OR equivalent experience.

• Experience of architecture for Electronic Health Records.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of deployment architectures for Electronic Health Records.

• Understanding of Microsoft Infrastructure as a Services products and/or complementing solutions. The position requires the ability to articulate and present the business value of Microsoft’s solutions and have a firm understanding of Microsoft’s strategies and products relative to major Microsoft competitors preferred.

• Knowledge of the primary Azure services

• Record of accomplishment of implementing Azure services in a variety of distributed computing environments.

• Leading highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments

• Large scale migration experience Data Center to Data Center and/or Data Center to Cloud

• Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting

• Practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment

• Experience managing data center operations, including data assurance, monitoring, alerting and notifications

• Proven track record of building deep technical sales relationships with CXOs and practice building executives in ISV, MSP, CD and Sis.

• Ability to solve Partner problems and unblock technical issues, leveraging internal and/or external resources.

• Deep understanding of Microsoft Cloud Solution Area products and services, and knowledge of market business environment

• 6-10+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales, technology solutions/practice development, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications required

Cloud Solution Architecture IC5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 – $242,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 – $264,000 per year.
