The M365 Substrate Intelligence Big Data teammission is to enableM365product teams, ISVsand individualM365customers tocurateinformation,knowledgeand intelligence. We are looking for a seasonedand boldengineering leadertoincrease thereach oftheSubstrate Big Data PlatformandMicrosoft Graph DataConnectofferingfor bothM365product teamsand external customersto easilyperformextraction, curation, andthe ability toshare and monetize datasetsand intelligence.

You willbe working with teams across M365, Azure, andpartners acrossMicrosoft to build a durable platform that will scale to accommodate the huge growth in buildingAnalytics andAI/ML-based solutions.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate for this role has strong customer passion, bias for action, and deep engineering experience in architecting and deliveringscalablecloud servicesand big data applications.

A successful candidate will show skills in the following areas:

• Experience in building large scale distributed systems and/or large-scale data volume processing

• Strong design and problem-solving skills. Proficient in services architecture and design patterns.

• Understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy concepts.

• Experiencein Big data space is a plus (Hadoop, Spark, Synapse, HDInsights, AzureML, Python, ADLA etc)

• Customer Focusand outcomes driven by making pragmatic choices to achieve goals in an iterativefashion.

• Strong interpersonal skills tocollaborateandinfluence teamsacross various teamsand org to make our customers succeed.

• Engineering role model and an advocate for Diversity and Inclusive team culture.

• Understanding on differentsecurityconcepts to secureenvironments to guarantee data privacy andcompliance.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent

• 7+ years of experience in technical roles, solid ship experience across product life cycle

• 4+ years of technical leadership experience, planning, designing, implementing, and delivering large distributed projects spanning multiple engineers as the primary owner

• Ability to nurture and grow talent

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Solid Software engineering foundation including design and development skills.

• Existing Knowledge of Data scientists tooling such as AzureML, Jypter, Python, Spark is a plus.
