Medical Payment Poster

What you will do:

• Processes and posts incoming payments, reconciles receipts and adjusts patient accounts
• Follows up to ensure resolution for cash balance error and bank reconciliation
• Downloads and posts all incoming patient and insurance payments on a daily basis
• Researches and correct all transactions relating to unapplied cash and any other cashiering transactions needed
• Posts all incoming correspondence
• Researches for possible posting errors
• Contacts payer and initiates request for payment
• Initiates refunds of identified overpayments
• Submits underpayments and overpayment information to appropriate collector for follow-up
• Ensures accurate transfer of patient account balances to practice management system
• Other duties and responsibilities to support business needs

What you will bring:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in medical cash posting and an understanding of the A/R cycle
• Experience posting insurance and patient payments, cash applications, cash posting for physician and hospital services
• Experience applying cash, check, credit card, EOB and EFT payments
• Demonstration of high degree of accuracy and analytical skills
• Demonstrates accountability, integrity, professionalism, receptive to change, creativity and innovative
• Self-starter with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficient and able to use computer automated account system
• This role requires full COVID-19 vaccination

Nice to have:

• Experience with Greenway or NexGen highly desired

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
