Your Role

Mighty Jaxx is looking for a Creative Technologist who will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for our Mighty Meta Team. You will work closely with our internal departments to design creative technical solutions that address our project and product needs, developing enhanced and interactive user experiences, and demonstrating prototypes to bring stories, characters and worlds to life.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize

• Develop and translate innovative experience & technology concepts for internal discussion and iteration
• Keep up-to-date on the evolving social, cultural, technology, and design landscape and apply the knowledge of new trends and innovation in the marketplace to our products

Pitch

• Responsible for the development and delivery of presentations and demos that clearly and persuasively communicate projects to a variety of stakeholders
• Create guiding materials such as concept sketches, animation, infographics to guide the wider cross-functional team members in understanding the concept
• Provide necessary inputs to Project Leads to assist in the definition of project scope, schedule, and budget for new development concepts

Build

• Help build and support small and large-scale interactive prototypes, mock-ups, and play-tests using a variety of industry-standard software and hardware tools
• Collaborate across diverse cross-functional teams, communicating clearly on the shared mission and goals.
• Provide creative and technical guidance to the team, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency across the team’s output

Requirements

• Degree qualification in or comparable industry experience in a field related to creative technology applications (e.g. Industrial Design, Product Design, Media Arts, Animation, Experience Design, Entertainment Technology, etc.) preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in creative tech or digital roles
• Proven ability to efficiently prototype new experiences, turning concepts into tangible artifacts that can be experienced and tested
• Knowledge and experience writing code and/or scripting (E.g C++)
• Proficient in Adobe CC software; especially Illustrator, Photoshop
• Proficient in dynamic languages, web frameworks, and multiple APIs
• Strong in presentation skills and professional writing skills
• Has excellent communication skills and can engage with diverse people
• Highly organized with excellent time management and scheduling skills
• Meticulous and excellent project management skills

Preferred Skillsets

• Experience with hardware prototyping tools (e.g. Arduino, Sensors, etc.)
• Familiarity in the design and fabrication of physical objects, props, signage, or setwork (e.g. carpentry, 3D printing, solid/surface modeling, laser cutting, etc.)
