The Human Resources Generalist will work in a fast-paced, team environment, under tight deadlines, with confidentiality and discretion to be maintained at all times. The incumbent will take a pro-active approach and provide high-level administrative support with the goal of enhancing the effectiveness of the team and Director of HR. The HR Generalist role holds a specific responsibility level for complex functions leading to accurate and positive functionality of operations. This position will serve as the primary contact regarding benefits administration, off-boarding processes, ongoing record maintenance, HRIS maintenance, and leave administration. This position is based in office.

Essential job functions for the Human Resources Generalist:

• Provides support to current and prospective employees regrading information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and employee benefits
• Uses HR software to support payroll, ongoing reconciliation management, and corrections
• Manages various programs such as leaves, workers comp etc.
• Conducts quarterly file and I-9 audits
• Works closely with hiring managers to insure accuracy requirements of staff training and personnel records
• Manages HR related paperwork, e.g. for terminations, employee changes and new hires
• Ensure HR data integrity, support employee engagement with the HRIS
• Provide internal and external reports for department leads and senior management
• Provide general support related to HR including file management, data entry, training/certifications/job requirement tracking and benefits enrollment
• Prepare unemployment claims
• Support employee engagement in areas such as company culture, employee wellness, and recognition
• Serves as back up support to other HR roles

Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree (Bachelor’s preferred), or qualified experience in human resources, business administration or related field
• Two (2) years generalist experience in human resources
• Demonstrated effective communication and employee relations skills
• Extensive data entry skills, spreadsheet, and word processing proficiency
• Proficiency with computer-based software including Word, Excel, and Windows and the ability to learn in-house computer software
• Demonstrated customer service skills, ability to relate effectively and tactfully with all levels of the organization
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written communications
• Clearance of CBI/Central Registry check and post-employment physical
• Reliable vehicle for transportation, valid driver’s license and current State of Colorado automobile insurance

Desired Qualifications / Skills / Licenses / Certifications:

• PHR/SPHR certification
• Experience with Paylocity
• Ability to work individually and as a team member
• Ability to read, write, and compile report data
• Bilingual Spanish
