Millennial Tech Hiring for Medical Records Technician Job at Boston, MA Full Time

One of our clients is in need of a Medical Records Technician who will perform student Immunization Verification for compliance with Massachusetts law, communicate with students and registrars regarding student’s completeness and eligibility to register for classes.

Other Responsibilities Will Include the Following:

• Assist customers with release of information issues such as providing requested information, determining appropriateness of release in accordance with policy and with state and Federal law

• Perform a variety of clinical data entry operations using the electronic medical record: patient demographic and review and verification, running and disseminating reports needed by the clinics, accessioning of patient visits

• Perform insurance and demographic functions which include: sending and receiving electronic data files, adding and updating patient and member information in the client’s registration systems, performing quality audits, and communicating with other departments and outside insurance carriers

• Complete and comply with training requirements including HIPAA Privacy and Security

• Report non-compliance incidents to the supervisor, manager, and/or Compliance Officer

Requirements:

• 2 plus years of successful work experience in a medical customer focused environment with direct customer contact

• Basic knowledge of personal computer operations and software packages

• Experience in a Windows environment

• Excellent organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills

• Preferred at least one year’s medical records experience

• Microsoft Word and Excel experience

NOTE: The selected candidate must provide a Letter of Good Health, signed by a physician, and an immunization record that shows compliance on first day of assignment. The role will run from the beginning of Jan to Oct of 2022.
