Building upon the foundation blocks of success, this senior level leading role will be working with an international team and be primarily responsible for providing design, build and test functions for solutions leveraging the AWS cloud platform to cater for the group data warehouse and enterprise data management systems.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design, build, test of extract, transform, load (ETL) solutions using AWS Step Functions and Glue to a data lake and AWS Redshift
• Working with other development teams in building solutions for downstream systems
• Assisting business and development teams in providing data visualisations in Tableau
• Input to platform and code architecture
• Building and maintaining the CI/CD pipeline and source code repository

Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

• Design, build, test of extract, transform, load (ETL) solutions using AWS Glue and Step Functions to a data lake and AWS Redshift
• Strong knowledge of AWS Glue, Step Functions, Python, Redshift, Athena is essential
• Strong knowledge of data visualisation and reporting tools such as Tableau
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Modelling techniques,
• Strong CI/CD principles and experience with GitHub, AWS CodePipeline
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudForm
• Understanding of alternative database technologies such as noSQL, graph, in-memory databases
• Understanding of tools such as AWS CloudWatch for application monitoring and alerting
• Other desirable skills include Enterprise Data Management (EDM) tools such as Market EDM, Golden Source, Simcorp Dimension
• Understanding of data management and governance
• Strong ability to communicate business requirements and solution designs
• Willingness to work with teams in different time zones (UK, India, Australia, Eastern USA)
• Understanding of Investment Management, Financial Markets desirable
• Familiarity with a front office management system such as Charles River, Bloomberg or IRESS desirable
