This individual is a staff resource, consultant, educator and facilitator focused on Infection Prevention and Control Activities, Outcome and Process Surveillance, Outbreak Management and Employee Health.Position Highlights *Report to the Director of Nursing *Facilitate infection prevention and control training for newly hired employees. *Review the immunization documentation/status to include tuberculosis for new hires to ensure compliance upon hire. *Create and execute education programs in response to identified infection control needs identified through QAPI, rounding, center quality measures, or any other means. *Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain the Infection Control and Prevention Program for the nursing centerSHAREPI01Qualifications:i*Graduate of an accredited school with a degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Microbiology, or other related fields is required. *Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire. *Previous experience in infection prevention and control is preferred. *Must be able to work flexible hours in order to meet with employees working evening and night shifts. *Must work at least part-time at the center.
