Ministry of Awesome Looking for Head of Partnerships at Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

We are looking for our brand new Head of Partnerships. This senior role will become the third and final member of our senior leadership team and will be charged with building out our current and future corporate, institutional, and governmental partners in NZ and across the Asia-Pacific region.

Here’s a little more about the person we are looking for:

• You will work closely with the Chief Executive as well as the Head of Programmes and Head of Marketing & Community to understand, develop, and communicate the needs, goals, and missions of the partners and how they overlap with those of our client companies, with those of MoA, and with our communities and stakeholders.
• You have a demonstrated history of success in selling high value contracts at an enterprise level and developing enduring and mutually beneficial partner relationships. You have a track record of being an outstanding leader, manager, and cross-functional team member familiar with fast-moving, high-growth, tech-enabled startup companies.
• You are entrepreneurial, coachable, and curious. You demonstrate hustle in all that you do and your written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills are impeccable. 
• You identify as an intelligent person, both emotionally and culturally as well as intellectually. Your preparation and knack for systems and processes is balanced by your ability to adapt.
• You are a dynamic and proactive leader who strives for excellence and is passionate about your work. 
• You are an excellent communicator with strong people skills allowing you to form trusting and solid relationships with startup founders, your fellow team members, and MoA’s many local, national and international partners. 

Most importantly, you are deeply passionate about the potential for Kiwi high growth startup founders to transform NZ’s economy and provide sustainable value for people and planet.

While MoA’s HQ is in Christchurch, Canterbury, we are open to applications coming from those who are located in other NZ cities especially those in Wellington or Auckland.
