We are seeking two Finance Business Partners to join our high performing team of finance professional. The roles will support Te Arawhiti – The Office for Māori Crown Relations; and a portfolio centred around the Ministry’s Policy Group.
Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity
We are seeking two experienced Finance Business Partners to join our high performing team of finance professionals. The roles will support Te Arawhiti – The Office for Māori Crown Relations and a portfolio centred around the Ministry’s Policy Group.
Core to the role is working with the business to provide direction and leadership in the financial planning and management of the business group’s strategy, driving sound strategic financial decision making and good project management discipline.
Both roles work with groups regularly seeking Cabinet and Ministerial direction, so experience around the Financial Machinery of Government is important to the role, and helping operational teams integrate financial implications with wider decision making will be something that you enjoy.
Building strong relationships across the group and business unit leadership teams and Budget Managers will be key to your success.
You will work closely with Management Accountants in the team to facilitate seamless support to the groups. You will also be required to mentor and coach the Management Accountants to develop talent and build their capability to deliver outcomes.

The Finance Business Partners are split across two teams and support a range of portfolio’s including Operations and Service Delivery, Te Arawhiti (Maori Crown Relations), Policy, Sector and Corporate functions that help the Ministry to operate smoothly. The team are embedded within the business unit’s they support, providing a key relationship and coordination point between the business and the overall Finance group.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
Salary Range: The current apointing salary for this role will be betwen $103,540 and $146,174 based on skills and experience. From 1 June, the salary for this role will be between $107,540 and $150,174.
