Judicial Administration Officer, Wellington

This is an incredible opportunity to join our awesome collaborative team, providing direct support to members of the District Court Judiciary.
We are looking for an admin officer who is confident with a warm personality, who is proactive and remains calm under pressure. You will have excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills; be IT savvy and able to work efficiently, managing competing priorities daily. The role may require some occasional afterhours work. A can-do positive attitude with discretion and sound judgement are a must. Nimbleness is also a must.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Judicial Administrator to the Chief District Court Judge, and the Executive Assistants to the Chief District Court Judge, Principal Family Court Judge, Principal Youth Court Judge and National Executive Judge. This position is Wellington-based.

The District Court is the largest court in Australasia. Most New Zealanders who go to court will go through the entire justice process in the District Court. Each year, more than 200 Judges, Acting Warranted Judges, Community Magistrates and Judicial Justices’ of the Peace in 58 courthouses deal with approximately 200,000 criminal, family, youth and civil matters.
This is a full-time permanent position based in Wellington.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The remuneration band for this role is $52,343 to $72,249 – Appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
