National Trainer Lead

This recruitment is building on from the establishment of a training team to build family violence and sexual violence workforce and organisational capability.
This position will lead the team of national trainers focused on developing and delivering training to support the implementation of the workforce frameworks and tools and support the uplifting of knowledge and skills to understand and respond safely, effectively and consistently to sexual violence, and holding people who use harmful family violence and sexual behaviour.

Te Puna Aonui supports the IEB and the broader Joint Venture to operate, including by being the Government’s lead advisor on family violence and sexual violence from a whole system perspective. We lead with influence and collaboration to provide space, focus and momentum for government, Māori, communities, NGOs and private organisations to work together.
We work with our partners to provide strategic policy advice and recommendations to the Joint Venture and to Government, including on the strategic direction and actions to take. We ensure our advice is based on best practice, evidence and includes the voice of lived experience. We establish and maintain relationships with our partners, designing and developing better solutions that bring about transformative change and establishing effective governance. We monitor and report on the financial and non-financial performance of the family violence and sexual violence system. We role model the change we wish to see and are a facilitator for Māori-Crown partnerships.

Salary Range: The remuneration band for this role is $120,397 to $169,973, effective 1 June 2023 the remuneration band for this role will be $124,397 to $173,973 – the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
