Regional Security Manager- Northern Region

The Ministry of Justice Health, Safety and Security Rōpu are seeking an experienced people leader for the position Regional Security Manger Northern Region. Reporting to the Director National Security Operations this role will manage the day-to-day Ministry of Justice court security operations of the Northern region teams, including courts in the greater Auckland area and the Far North.
We are seeking someone with experience in managing security teams in an operational environment, experience in managing high risk and complex security operations, managing geographically dispersed teams and commitment to embedding Mātauranga Māori into your day-to-day mahi. The successful candidate will need to reside in the greater Auckland area.

The Health, Safety and Security Rōpu are nearly 400 kaimahi strong, spread all over the motu. We are a fun team with the responsibility of keeping the courts safe for all people. Mātauranga Māori is embedded in all our mahi and we continue to grow and develop our skills in this area. We work hard every day to ensure all that work in or come into our sites and the courts across Aotearoa are kept as safe and well as possible. Most times, this means we are operating in high pressure environments, mitigating significant risk in a reactive space, whilst trying to plan and drive more proactive accountability for health, safety, and security across Te Tāhū.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
Salary Range: The remuneration band for this role is $107,540 to $150,211 – the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
