Senior Advisor, Implementation

12 Month Fixed Term to June 2024

We are seeking a senior advisor to join our Implementation team in the Commissioning and Service Improvement (CSI) unit while a team member is on secondment.

In CSI, we deliver improvements to the justice system for a fair and safe Aotearoa.

The breadth of our work and the impact it has will give you lots of variety and challenge. You will have the opportunity to manage unique stakeholder relationships, including with judges and senior managers, and staff across the Ministry.

As a senior advisor in the Implementation team, you will:

• Lead the implementation of policy and legislative change
• Develop an understanding of how new legislation impacts on our front-line services and work closely with those teams to prepare them for any changes to how they deliver their services
• Identify system changes and be involved in process design and development
• Develop and execute project plans
• Prepare communications content for the judiciary, senior leaders, front-line staff and participants in the justice system.

He Pūkenga Tou/Skills And Experience

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to articulate complex messages clearly, simply and concisely
• Experience writing for different audiences, in plain language
• Previously led small to medium sized projects
• Used data to inform decisions
• Experience managing change
• An understanding of the legislative process.

Experience in and knowledge of the Family Court or Tribunals would also be an advantage.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

Salary Range: The appointing salary for this role will be between $94,377 and $131,591 based on skills and experience.
