Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity
As a Senior Media Advisor, you will be working in a fast-paced team, providing communications support for the upcoming Whakaari/ White Island trial.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, hold a high attention to detail, have a can-do attitude, have the ability to work in a pressured environment and the ability to tailor your style to meet a range of audiences through a variety of different media.
In this fast paced and dynamic role, you must have experience in responding to media enquiries and developing content for media. In this role you will have to be someone who is capable at making the complicated simple, while being able to deliver a work programme that meets challenging deadlines.
We are looking for someone who will be able to demonstrate a high level of personal leadership and you will need to be able to develop strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including journalists and media organisations, and other government Communications Teams. You will be supported in this work by the Ministry of Justice’s Media and Social Manager and the rest of the media and social media team.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
Salary Range: The remuneration band for this role is $90,377 to $127,591 – the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience.
