Our Chief Executive needs an experienced and dedicated senior executive assistant to drive workflows and ensure high levels of personalised support. We’re looking for someone proactive, with strong communication and organisation skills, to fill this role. You will offer comprehensive support in all areas of our business, including communications, administration, project management, and stakeholder satisfaction. An ideal candidate will feel comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.

EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

Relevant secretarial qualification or equivalent experience

Work Experience

• Proven experience in working at an executive level of a medium to large-size organisation.
• Mature understanding and knowledge of the various levels and types of professional relationships which can exist in a political and business environment involving national policy implications.
• Competent working with a wide range of computer-based secretarial, administrative and presentation applications.
• Experience in organising and co-ordinating activities and individuals at an executive level
• Experience in troubleshooting/problem solving in situations involving executive and senior managers.
• Experience in communicating effectively with individuals and groups, including in situations which can be volatile or sensitive and with cultures different to your own.
• Proven excellence in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multi-task and to stay calm under pressure.
• High emotional intelligence and resilience.
• Proactive management of competing priorities and deadlines

We are a small unit, with a big role. Established as an Interdepartmental Executive Board (IEB) our mandate is to ensure there is clear, joint accountability across government for work relating to the elimination of family violence and sexual violence.

We are on a journey to establish ourselves as a learning organisation and centre of expertise that stewards the family violence and sexual violence system and cross agency strategy – Te Aorerekura to collectively work in partnership with the communities we serve and always hold survivors, family, and whanau at the centre of everything we do.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The appointing salary for this role will be between $72,634 and $100,846 based on skills and experience.
