We are seeking an exceptional Associate Product Manager to join our Structural & Element engineering and business team. You will manage activities required to grow product sales for our MISUMI-manufactured mechanical products portfolio. This role Is responsible for organizing daily engineering team activities required to meet project schedules and support customer inquiry. You will own the business sales goals, profitability and continuous growth of responsible product lines and motivate engineering team to hit high goals and provide guidance to win business opportunities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform market and business analyses of Factory Automation components to determine future development projects.
• Develop strategies and tactics to reach growth goals for responsible product categories.
• Continuously analyze progress, issues, and countermeasures to ensure corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
• Plan strategy deployments, schedules, KPI’s, goals, and countermeasures to drive towards goals achievement.
• Identify and develop products and services to increase market share, revenue, and open up new growth sectors.
• Manage pricing and profitability of responsible product lines.
• Work with Marketing to create marketing and sales schemes to accelerate sales growth.
• Bring on new suppliers, internally and externally, managing all aspects, to meet MISUMI product and service standards for customers.
• Provide technical support to all customers, internally and externally, being the product expert, including quality cases.
• Present logical and detailed reports to management on a regular basis.
• Manage and direct reports to complete tasks and missions.
• Manage projects across multiple departments, including own team.
• Works with the team manager to review performance and set performance activities.
• Perform annual reviews with team manager for all engineers on their team.
• Resolve all quality related issues.
• Potential to manage subordinates.
• Job will require some travel (5 to 10%).

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years’ experience in mechanical field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as Product Manager, Business Development, Sales/Application Engineering, or relevant role(s).
• Highly analytical, logical, with excellent data analysis skills.
• Two years’ experience in supervision or technical engineering lead preferred.
• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment design preferred.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD (SW required, Inventor, CATIA, NX preferred) and operational experience in machine drawings to machining manufacturing.
• Experience working in an international environment preferred.
• Familiarly with B2B sales management and tactics a plus.
• Experience in Access data analysis preferred.
