Mitre 10 Looking for Tech Lead – Cloud at Rodney & North Shore, Auckland Full Time

As Tech Lead – Cloud, you will provide operational
leadership for a high-quality team dealing in Mitre 10 cloud technologies,
infrastructure, and end points. The cloud environment includes IaaS, PaaS and
SaaS platforms on Azure, AWS and Microsoft 365. The role is responsible for
ensuring stable, and secure operations while supporting projects and programme
delivery in a DevOps approach. Automation, monitoring, and optimisation of
systems are regularly expected as a part of this role. The cloud environments
support a pace-layered approach to IT, an understanding of pace-layered approach
is required.

What you will doing;

• Lead Mitre 10’s capability to execute and manage across a
  multi-cloud environment including but not limited to Azure, AWS, and Microsoft
  365
• Interface/bridge between M10 business and IT stakeholders in
  collaboration with the Product Owner/s
• Analyse and review business requirements and be proactive in
  identifying potential missing requirements as well assessing the feasibility
  and impact of those requirements 
• Optimise Mitre 10’s cloud environments to
  optimise cost and performance 
• Maintain security within environments 
• Lead efforts to automate change and release to managed environments
  (using Terraform)
• Stay abreast of all emerging Azure and AWS offerings and identify
  those offerings that support the Mitre 10 strategies and use that knowledge to
  inform the ongoing development of the Cloud roadmap for Mitre 10, ensuring that
  they are included in financial budgets, forecasts, and store investment plans. 
• Training and mentoring Helpdesk colleagues to
  support Azure and AWS services and respond to any technical escalation,
  identifying and diagnosing issues to ensure they are resolved within SLA.

Skills and Capabilities
Required:

• Ideally 5+ years of experience in an IT engineer, application
  developer or similar role preferably supporting Azure and Microsoft cloud
  services, however we will look at someone with less experience who is looking
  for development and coaching. 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain
  system changes and functionality to all stakeholder groups including ELT and
  Stores.
• Experience building and maturing CI/CD technologies and pipelines
• Experience delivering solutions in Azure.
• You will have Azure certifications

• Automation (scripting) incl Terraform
• Experienced with implementing and managing Azure AD identity and
  access management in a large complex organization.
• Strong skills in Powershell scripting
