About the jobCompetitive hourly rate and range of employee benefits; On-site role located in Warkworth (Rodney); Permanent, part-time opportunity. This is a 30 hours a week, Sunday to Wednesday position. About the roleOur Café, located within Mitre 10 MEGA Warkworth, Rodney serves as the perfect meeting spot for the local community. This is a hands-on, daylight hours management role. To succeed, you’ll need to be a leader who can inspire, mentor, and guide the team while ensuring smooth service times. You’ll also be a team player, ready to roll up your sleeves and support the team whenever needed. This includes responding to customer requests, processing orders, assisting the Barista, preparing and presenting food and beverages, and supporting the kitchen team as required. You would be considered a local and would like reside in one of the following areas: Ara Hills, Hatfield’s Beach, Kaipara Flats, Leigh, Mahurangi East, Mahurangi West, Makarau, Matakana, Omaha, Pakiri, Waiwera, Whangateau, Wellsford, Whangaripo, Point Wells, Sandspit, Snells Beach, Tauhoa, Tawharanui, Ti Point, Wayby Valley. What will you bring?

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a café or restaurant management position
• Have an understanding for cafe front and back of house operations
• Strong knowledge around Marketing and Franchise systems would be advantageous
• Robust understanding around Food Control Plans and all areas of Health and Safety
• Leadership skills with a background in managing a team of more than 10 with the ability to further develop and grow their skills
• Methodical in your approach to the job with the ability to see the big picture and direct staff accordingly.
• Customer centric – love customer interaction with exceptional customer service skills.
• You would be a local Warkworth (Rodney) resident.
